GERMAN VILLAGE – MORE IN STORE THIS YEAR
Haus und Garten Tour
Pretour events, Saturday June 29th
Main Tour: Sunday, June 30th

There’s more to enjoy at this year’s 60th annual German Village Haus und Garten Tour! In the past, the event has kicked off with a special house and dinner tour on Saturday evening. This tour is still available but there are also other Saturday night options for you to consider. These options include a VIP look (from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m.) at the homes and gardens on Sunday’s tour.

On Saturday evening, Schiller Park (located at 1069 Jaeger Street) will be the destination for all party-goers in the know. Attend the annual cocktail party from 6:00 to 7:15 p.m. (tickets/$100) or enjoy AfFARE from 7:30 to 10 p.m.  AfFARE guests will enjoy catered food from local restaurants, along with drinks and music (tickets/$125).

The traditional pretour dinner option is also available and offers a detailed look at the homes and gardens (including areas off-limits on Sunday).  You will also be able to choose from 1 of 22 themed dinners in a German Village home hosted by the homeowners (and friends) or choose to attend the AfFare reception with heavy hors d oeuvres and beverage samples from local partners. With this option, you’ll enjoy seeing 11 tour homes and gardens and the additional dinner location. Cost for dinner pretour tickets is $175.

To get your June 29th pretour tickets, visit germanvillage.com. Whatever you decide to do the night before, you won’t want to miss out on the big event on Sunday, June 30th. The event starts at 9:00 a.m. and will run until 4:00 p.m. A number of houses and gardens, as well as the Saint Mary Catholic Church will be on this year’s tour.

If you’ve never taken the time to enjoy the tour, I highly encourage you to make this the year you do. You’ll appreciate incredible interior design and landscaping efforts while walking down German Village’s historic streets. I confess, I have attended for several years and each year, I’m amazed at the quality of the homes and gardens.

For more information about the homes and gardens on tour, as well as tickets, please visit germanvillage.com or call 614/221-8888.

German Village Society is located at 588 3rd Street, Columbus, OH 43215.
