Want to plan a spring break that the entire family will love? Head to the Bavarian Inn, Frankenmuth, Michigan

While it may be cold outside, we know that spring will be here before we know it. And that means – Spring Break Time. If your idea of spring break is getting the family together, the Bavarian Inn Restaurant and Lodge is perfect for your family.

We recently went at Christmas and we loved it. There truly is something for everyone here!  Located near the picturesque Cass River, the beautiful European-themed lodge offers a wide variety of things to do. The hotel offers an adult-only pool, two lounges, restaurants, gift shops and more! Even my older teens enjoyed the 35,000 square foot Family Fun center that has two water slides, three pools, a multitude of video games, as well as a two-level children’s play village and Willy’s Kingdom indoor mini-golf course. We were very impressed that the mini-golf course is actually 18 holes and it was really a lot of fun. My family played each night. We also enjoyed the live entertainment.

The food here is truly incredible. The Bavarian Inn Restaurant & Lodge is famous for their chicken and family-style dinners. We loved the family-style dinner that gave my large family plenty of options. The service is friendly and helpful and the only complaint is bringing home a few extra pounds than when we left. All joking aside, there’s no reason to worry about what you’re going to eat. Regardless if your crew feels like pizza or a complete dinner, you’ll find it here.

The Barvarian Inn is steps from the River Place shops, as well as the downtown area. Head out on foot or by horse-drawn carriage (during busy times, you’ll want to make sure you reserve a carriage in advance). You’ll love all the unique shops that offer everything from cheese and fudge to unique items for your home. I would be remiss to mention that you are also near-by (short car drive) to the world’s large Christmas store (Bronner’s).

I think the reason that we loved our visit so much is that the Bavarian Inn made it easy to come together. To experience some down-time that we rarely take for ourselves. Everyone felt that could enjoy something – from seeing the incredible lights, shopping, swimming and more. For me, the memories made were priceless. The time was well spent and will not be forgotten.
