Hilton Key Largo, Key Largo Florida

The Hilton Key Largo is a great resort for families to enjoy a summer respite in Key Largo. This large resort offers 200 guestrooms and suites. Guests will appreciate the balconies for their morning coffee! Depending upon your family’s needs, you can choose from one king or two double beds or enjoy a suite with one bedroom with a king bed and sofa bed. All rooms have complimentary coffee makers, internet, flat-screen televisions and mini-refrigerators. And, if you need a crib, just let them know – there’s no charge.

There’s plenty to do while at the hotel! If you want to go swimming, you’ll appreciate that there are two heated pools with waterfalls. My boys spent a great deal of time splashing under the waterfall. One side is devoted to the adult crowd and the other side is for families.

There is a small natural beach (tip: bring swim shoes) with a lovely area for relaxing, corn-hole games, tiki bar and more. My boys loved hunting for shells along the shore. Also available at the resort are bicycles and fishing. Caribbean Watersports is available on property to rent kayaks, paddleboards, jet skis and all the other water sports equipment you can imagine. Children can enjoy the ScoutAbout program offered at the hotel as well. Basically, kiddos explore the resort in search of special areas and collect color-coded bands to wear.

Each morning the resort offers a delicious breakfast buffet at Treetops Bar & Grill. At breakfast, we really enjoyed looking out over the water and hearing the birds start their day. The buffet offers a nice selection of proteins so it’s perfect for starting an active day. Lunch is available at Splashes Pool Bar and of course room service is available throughout the day as well.

Can’t bear to leave your fur-baby at home? Then bring him (or her) with you! Pet-friendly accommodations are available.

The resort is proudly undergoing property renovations at the time of this writing. While not fun for a resort to undergo, it’s a fact of life that from time-to-time, renovations are just necessary. I understand that all rooms and even the pools will be upgraded. So if you are planning a trip, plan accordingly and check with hotel for the schedule of enhancements (no one likes a surprise like a closed pool on vacation).
