Family vacations are great. But, sometimes, a little adult time is needed. If you’re feeling the need to get a way for a night or two, Aloft Newport on the Levee is the perfect place to go.
The Aloft Newport on the Levee is a great destination in itself. The hotel is bold, hip and modern yet remains warm and comfortable at the same time. We absolutely loved how clean our spacious room was as well – it made us feel like we could truly relax and enjoy our down time. When we were ready to explore the area, the front desk manager was extremely helpful with recommendations.
The hotel offers plenty of spots to enjoy a romantic moment or two, as well as a pool table, fitness center, swimming pool, great bar area and much more. There was even a Connect Four game in the outdoor patio area. And, while we opted for an adults-only weekend, Aloft is also a great place to take the family or even your four-legged family members as Aloft is dog-friendly. We truly saw people of all ages enjoying the hotel.
Another reason to love Aloft Newport on the Levee is location, location, location. You can literally walk to all the Newport attractions! Newport on the Levee opened in 2001 and is located across from downtown Cincinnati on the south bank of the Ohio River. You can enjoy the Newport Aquarium, AMC movie theatre and a number of restaurants and shops. Outdoors, there’s a lot to do and take in as well. Of course, there is the wonderful view (even better at night with the lights!) but Newport has added a number of shipping containers remodeled to themed bars, special event nights and even outdoor seating areas to watch television on the front of buildings. It is definitely the place to be.
Our personal favorite stops included Blackmarket Saloon (very cool renovated horse trailer bar that features spiked lemonade, moonshine and more), Brothers Bar & Grill, Tom and Chee (did someone say s’more) and Rotolo Bowling. Really, there is something for everyone on the Levee.
Aloft’s location makes it incredibly easy to do so much yet takes the stress out of it because it is all so convenient. You can enjoy your time without having to worry about driving downtown, fighting traffic and figuring out where to park.
